Quinn Bolivar his father Walter and friend Tommy joined me aboard the Benchmark 2 sunday afternoon. I am glad we left the dock with live bait because we barely made it up the beach 3 miles and bass and bunker were exploding on the surface. Long story short be boated 4 and had a shot at maybe 15. The fish were so aggressive for about an hour that the bunker were trying to jump back in th boat and the bass as well. No exageration water was being splashed into the boat from the bass, 5 or 6 at a time chasing one bunker right up to and almost into the boat. Exciting trip and I was glad to have them biting.
Jack Shaw and his possible son in law:) and brother joined us sunday morning. We had our tails between our legs from friday night but came out determined to catch a bass. We made bait and headed straight for chunking on the rocks, ten minutes in, it became wind against tide and we knew we were in trouble. We switched gears to seabass and ling until the tide change and everyone had a blast catching over 50 keeper seabass and some ling and again a few cod. The last 2 hours of the day we stopped on the bass grounds threw a bait in and instantly had a bite, yes the captain missed it. Last half hour a bass exploded on a bait and birdnested the heck out of the reel. We actually caught the fish by backing down on the fish because the reel was only going one way. in. We werent losing this one. Good day, great crew.

Jeff Scharf and his family along with Tom Armbrewster joined us for a bass trip on friday afternoon. Bait was easier to catch but I soon got the feeling that the bas didnt like us much anymore. The southwind came up, we read fish but couldnt keep either of the two bites we had hooked up. Tough fishing, great group.
Jason Gaynor and the boys heard the previous days bass exploits or lack there of and decided to give the freshly opened seabass season a try. We started off like gang busters boating a lot of nice keepers and after the tide change it became a pick. By days end we tallied 50 plus nice keepers and even a couple cod again.
